The Roth Family

On your fiftieth (WOW....I think that's the first time in my life I ever had to spell that word.....add having to use the word "fiftieth" while wishing your pastor happy birthday to the list of "How you know when you are getting old things") birthday, I just wanted to share one of the stand-out moments that we have come to know you by. It goes back to the week that your father passed away....I remember thinking about whether or not you would be able to make it to church that weekend. Well, you not only made it, but you got up and shared your feelings and tears with the rest of your church family. And then a moment that I will never forget.....we were pulling out of church, and there you were at the exit waving to us when we were leaving. It amazed me that you set aside (what I would think) were your natural feelings of wanting to be alone to adjust to the loss of your father, and instead made an effort to help everyone else feel loved! You lead by example, and your heart towards God permeates the entire Church. If my children forget the words of your mesages, I know that they will never forget the Heart of God that flows through you, to your staff, and into their hearts! God bless you for "continuing"! Just your being there and being "you" means more than you know (this side of eternity).
